About WasteWise MA

WasteWise MA is a capstone project built by UMass Boston students to help residents of Everett and Malden, MA find the right place to recycle, donate, or dispose of household items responsibly.

Our Mission

Recycling rules are confusing. Information is scattered across municipal websites, outdated flyers, and word of mouth. WasteWise MA brings it all together in one clean, searchable interface — so you always know where to bring your stuff.

Data & Accuracy

Location data is researched and manually verified by our team. Because hours, accepted items, and fees can change, we include a "last verified" date on each location. If something looks wrong, please use the Report Outdated Info button on any location detail card.
